Importing your Contacts
To realize the full value from Big Contacts, it is important to import all of your existing contact data. We offer multiple Data Import Packages to help you get off to a quick start.
How to: Import your Contacts into BigContacts
Standard Data Imports
If you have an online address book or spreadsheet of contacts that you would like to import into BigContacts, we have developed a very easy to use Import Wizard that will give you step-by-step instructions on how to import your core contact data (name, address, email, phone, etc.) from some of the most widely-used programs on the market today.All it takes is 4 Simple steps and about 5 minutes and you can import your contact list, no matter how big the list. Simply click on the "import contacts" link in the upper left hand section under the Contacts tab. This will start the import wizard. All you need to do is get your contact data into CSV (Excel) format and then run the wizard to import the data. Most programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, can export data in CSV form.
There is NO charge for if you use our "self-serve" Import Wizard.
Custom Data Imports
If you have contact data and history stored in another Contact Management (CRM) system, we are here to help you make a seamless transition to BigContacts. We can import all of your contact history from most any system on the market today. You no longer have to feel like your data is being held hostage! We handle Custom Data Imports in 2 phases: Phase I - $195In this first phase an Advisor will work directly with you on the phone to determine how best to map all of your important contact data fields into BigContacts. This call is typically scheduled within 2 days of you sending your data files. At the beginning of this process you will be billed the $195 for "Phase I".
After the call your Advisor will proceed to create the needed custom fields and then import all of your core contact data.
(name, address,email, phone, custom fields, etc) After the core contact data is imported you are now ready to begin using your new BigContacts system. The total time-frame for "Phase I" typically runs 3-4 business days.
Phase II - $300
In "Phase II" we import all of your contact notes and history. This final phase can take up to 2 weeks depending on the size of your database and the overall workload at the time of import. Please keep mind though that you are fully able to use the system after phase I is complete, and will simply refer to your old databse should you require a review of any history items from your previous system. The final charge of $200 will be billed at the completion of importing your notes and history.
Total Custom Import cost = $495Where to send your data files:You can send us your data files using our secure data transfer service. Send all files to this secure address, and a support ticket will automatically be generated to ensure timely followup on your data import.
